Get to know the duo behind our limited edition denim capsule!

Hello! We are Kim and Emma and we are Flowers Denim.

We’ve been best friends for ten years and have worked together here and there but always knew we would do something fun together one day. 

Sharing in a strong love for the perfect jean and general denim appreciation we decided to collaborate and create Flowers. We are proudly made in Melbourne using dead stock indigo Japanese denim.

Our capsule is small but it’s strong. The oversized jacket makes any outfit look great and our classic jean is the ONE!

How did you meet each other?

E: Kim and I met over 10 years ago working in a Melbourne boutique, we became inseparable  instantly, bonding over our love for Beyonce and dancing at Favela night club. 

K: We met at work and it was pretty much love at first sight. We’ve been sisters ever since.

 How would you describe each others aesthetic?

E:  Kims approach to dressing is super casual and sexy, singlet and jeans usually with a pair of cons and a cute handbag. 

K: Emma’s style is perfectly unique. She has a great eye for vintage and always takes risks.

What does your daily uniform look like?

E: My daily outfit is usually a pair of jeans, my Flowers jacket and a singlet/ sneakers or birks.

K: My daily look is also pretty similar. Sometimes I’ll dress it up with boots, lipstick and a cute skirt if I have a meeting.     

What is your favourite piece of denim in your wardrobe?

E: I have these vintage Armani kids jeans that fit like a glove and this 80s denim  jacket I got in NYC with ribbon flowers stitched all over it that I will keep forever..

K: I can’t go past my vintage denim. My favourites are an old pair of Levi’s I bought on a road trip as well as the perfectly fitted pair of vintage 90’s jeans that a friend gifted me. Denim can last forever and it's these pieces I will hold onto for a lifetime.

What can we expect from FLOWERS in the next few years?

E: More pieces! All of our denim dreams are coming to life, like overalls, hats and more jeans!

K: More quality classics as well as fun, special denim pieces that will be cherished in your wardrobe forever.
